Makers of PCs will ship 191.4 million units in 2004, a 13.4 percent increase from a year ago, analysis company iSuppli said Monday in a research note.
Revenue, however, will grow only to $132.8 billion, up 12 percent from $118.6 billion in 2003, because of price competition. The company raised its unit shipment figure by a tenth of a percentage point from its outlook in June, but lowered the revenue forecast by 1.7 percent.
