Parrot drone deals for Black Friday have landed
Flying machines big and small get price cuts.
Maybe it's a sign of a more mature market, but there are some pretty good drone deals for Black Friday this year. The best I've seen is for the DJI Phantom 3 Standard for $370 in store at Walmart. But if you'd rather shop from your sofa, Parrot has a handful of deals worth considering.
The Bebop 2 is a small quadcopter with a full HD camera that's also durable and lightweight. Parrot continues to update its firmware, too, improving image quality and its capabilities, which now includes visual recognition and GPS tracking to have the drone follow you around automatically.
Parrot is selling the Bebop 2 by itself (you can fly it with a phone or tablet) for $400 or paired with the company's large ground station-style Skycontroller remote for $450, or its new gaming-style controller and a first-person-view (FPV) headset for $500. Prices are good through November 28.
The company's fixed-wing drone, the Parrot Disco, is available for $1,000, or $300 less than its full price. Because it's a plane, it's a completely different flying experience than a quadcopter and requires a lot more space to enjoy it. But the package does include an FPV headset so you can fly with a birds-eye view from its onboard full HD camera.
If your living room is all the space you have to fly, prices on Parrot's Minidrones are reduced, too: from $20 to $90 less with prices from $60 to $120 depending on the model. They're good for beginners or anyone who wants a simple and stable phone-controlled drone.
