Panasonic has announced that it will unveil an SLR developed jointly with Olympus at this year's Photo Marketing Association trade show. On February 26, the photography world will officially be graced with the first Panasonic SLR ever, which, like Olympus's SLRs, will follow the Four Thirds standard for sensor size and lens mount. That means the new camera should be compatible with existing Olympus Zuiko Digital and Sigma Four Thirds lenses. Of course, there's a good chance that this SLR will simply be a Panasonic-branded Olympus camera. Nothing bad for consumers about that, if the price is right.
