Overture drums up $15 million

Overture Networks announced Monday it received a $15 million second round of funding, led by Morgenthaler Ventures. Armada Ventures, Intersouth Partners and previous investor Gray Ventures also participated in the round. The Research Triangle Park, N.C.-based company has now raised a total of $18 million. Overture Networks supplies networking equipment to telecommunications carriers to enable them to offer services over metropolitan Ethernet/IP (Internet Protocol) networks.
