Oracle wins MangoSoft patent case
Oracle wins a summary judgment against a lawsuit that sought more than $500 million in damages.
Oracle has won a summary judgment against a lawsuit that sought more than $500 million in damages from the business software maker and accused it of patent infringement over shared memory technology, the company said Thursday.
Oracle said a U.S. District Court in New Hampshire ruled in favor of the company on its motion for summary judgment that it did not infringe a patent held by small software developer MangoSoft. The lawsuit centered on Oracle's clustered database software, the company said.
