On SNL, Trump calls in to steamy 'Morning Joe'

On TV, it's not always clear what's real and what's fake.
Is, for example, the Jane Austen-style barely suppressed flirting between "Morning Joe" hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough real?
It seems so, after the two announced their engagement last week.
"Saturday Night Live" decided to play up this sexual tension by casting the two hosts as stealing steamy clinches between discussing major events.
While the show's expert analysts are perturbed by the goings-on, a representative for President Donald Trump calls in.
He may be a fake representative. He sounds remarkably like Trump. Or, rather, Alec Baldwin being Trump. He says his name is John Miller. Oddly, this is the name once used by a publicist who -- according to reports -- sounded remarkably like Donald Trump.
This Miller-Trump wishes everyone a happy Cinco de Mayo, "which is the day Mexicans eat a sinkful of mayonnaise."
He insists that Obamacare has now been repealed. His justification for this is that after the House passed the new Trumpcare bill "there was beer."
Once Trump has hung up, Brzezinski concludes: "The president is mentally ill."
The video of this cold open immediately soared to No. 1 on YouTube's chart.
Perhaps people enjoy their TV more when love is in the air. Perhaps, too, open displays of affection are what American politics needs these days.
