If you're planning on hitting the slopes this winter, or any time of year, you'll want plenty of pictures of your radical shredding -- whatever that is. High fives then for the Olympus mju 790 SW Winter camera kit, pulling a goofy-footed heelside turn into shops now.

Is this package a case of all the gear, no idea? You get the 7-megapixel 790 SW camera in new Starry Silver colour. The pack includes a snow tube, which is a rubber ring for throwing yourself down mountains like in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. To keep your head warm there's a Rossignol beanie. A neoprene case keeps everything warm and dry -- not that the rugged 790 needs it. As our First Look video shows, the 790 laughs at water, spits at shocks and frowns at being frozen. That's because it's drop-proof to 1.5m, waterproof to 3m, and freezeproof to -10 degrees C.

This follows the lime-green edition of the 790, which is actually clearly yellow. It's a sick-looking camera -- sick means good -- and something tell us we'll be seeing more colours on this particular model in the not-too-distant future. As winter editions go, we think the 790 is more Maltesers White Chocolate: Winter Edition (mmm) than My Model Train 2: Winter Edition (hmm).

You can get your hands on the new Olympus mju 790 SW kit under extreme conditions at over 120 events throughout Europe on this season's Rossignol Demo Tour. It's also available to buy now for about £200. Sick. -Rich Trenholm.
