Olympic Festival Enlists High-Tech

On July 21, the U.S. Olympic Festival will kick off at Denver's Mile High Stadium with opening ceremonies for 3,600 amateur athletes. The festival will be organized and tracked by hardware and software from more than two dozen companies.

The high-tech gadgetry will help track 10,000 volunteers, sell 500,000 tickets, and oversee 37 sporting events at the 10-day festival. Athletic contests will be held in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Boulder.
