Olympian Shaunae Miller's finish-line dive creates yet another golden meme

Usain Bolt's meme is so yesterday. The Bahamian runner's controversial dive is social media's new obsession.

It had been about 24 hours since the internet had a new Olympic meme to play with, so we were due. When Bahamian runner Shaunae Miller literally dove across the finish line in the 400-meter Olympic finals in Rio, beating American Allyson Felix, social-media creative types quickly moved on from Usain Bolt's midrace grin and Michael Phelps' scowl-face.

The dive was controversial but declared perfectly legal, and Miller claimed the gold. And even as her flop was debated on social media, the memes began, incorporating everything from Slip 'N Slides to legendary Olympic diver Greg Louganis.

And at least one tweet managed to tie Bolt's and Miller's memes together, showing the sad face of Canada's Andre de Grasse, one of the runners seen being passed by a smiling Bolt in the earlier viral photo.
