Instant messaging software provider Odigo has named Howard Woolf its president and chief executive officer. Woolf previously held the title "president of the Americas" at Intel's Dialogic unit, where he worked on telephony software and services. He also worked for General Electric and Digital Equipment, which was acquired by Compaq Computer in 1998.
Woolf is the first CEO of Odigo Inc. Micha Macover, the CEO of the company's Israeli Odigo Ltd. unit, in charge of research and development as well as international sales, has effectively led the company since January 2001. With Woolf's appointment, Macover is no longer with the company, Odigo said.
