Palm synchronization discrepancy Some Palm users have noticed a discrepancy between the item categories apparent on their handheld and the respective category on their Mac. Essentially, the problem causes Addresses to synch to "Contacts," on the Mac; Date Book to Palm Calendar, and so on. Therefore, "addresses" on the Mac synchronizes with items that that do not exist on Palm, etc. A memo, however, written on the Palm, will come to Memos on the desktop and vice versa.

Gunn Alexandersen found a note in document in Palm's support library which notes the problem, but offers no real solution:

"Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Memos: These Palm Conduits synchronise information between Palm Desktop on your computer and the new PIM applications (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and Memos) on your handheld.

"Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, Memo Pad: These Palm Conduits synchronise information between Palm Desktop on your computer and the classic PIM applications (Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, and Memo Pad) on some Palm handheld."

Drive 10 deleting bookmarks? Walter Scott reports that running Drive 10 diagnostics and repair have consistently resulted in Netscape 7.1 bookmarks being deleted:

"A week after that, after using Drive 10 (1.1.2) to repair my Panther (10.3.2) partition, when the diagnostics reported directory problems, I discovered that once again, my bookmarks were gone. Two days ago, when my partition again failed during a Drive 10 scan major repairs were suggested. And following the suggested replacement of directory values (both Used Nodes and Free Nodes - as in the two previous cases), once again the bookmarks were wipes."

DisneyWorld.com fixed for Safari We previously reported problems using the DisneyWorld.com Web site with Safari. Now Ryan Hidalgo, who originally reported the issue, notes that Disney has responded with repairs:

"I am glad to report that DisneyWorld.com now works fully with Safari. The site not only lets me gain access under Safari, but it also correctly displays the high-bandwidth site (I have a cable modem) with complete audio and video. I will say that the site's performance is much better on Safari than on Netscape and marginally better than on IE. Thanks to the MacFixIt community that I am sure helped Disney see the error of its ways!"
