Nvidia updates nForce Linux drivers

Graphics chip leader Nvidia has released new Linux drivers--the software that tells a PC operating system how to interact with hardware components--for its nForce and nForce2 chipsets. The new drivers, available for download from Nvidia, include enhanced audio and networking support and tweaks for new Linux distributions from Red Hat and MandrakeSoft.

Nvidia's nForce chipsets work with Advanced Micro Devices processors and control how the processor interacts with other PC components, such as memory chips. Some nForce models also include an integrated graphics processor.
