Novell snaps up British Salmon
Linux network specialist Novell has bought British-based Web services company Salmon.
Linux network specialist Novell has swooped into the United Kingdom to pick up Web services consultancy Salmon. The billion-dollar company is not disclosing what it is paying for the Watford, England-based Web specialist, nor will it talk about Salmon's revenue. The U.K. firm has around 130 staff, both permanent and contract.
Salmon has broad skills in Web services and a European presence in carrying out client work, said Novell U.K. Managing Director Steve Brown. "Insurance is a good market for them, and they are on good terms with Lloyds. They also have retail experience."
