"I have an MP4 movie on my computer, but I cannot transfer it to my iPhone. It is in iTunes movies, but it won't transfer..."

Possible Workarounds

Check your file type:

Apple Support notes the following--

"HD content cannot be synced to an iPod. When trying to sync HD content to your device, you will see a prompt like the one above stating that the file was not copied to your iPod because it cannot be played on your iPod."

ASD user Leslie91 offers this workaround:

"I change the .mp4 extension to .m4v and then I have no trouble transferring those videos to my iPhone."

There are also several programs, both freeware and for purchase, available that do video conversion for iPhone/iPod (see: DVD Video Soft, Handbrake, or just do a search on Google for converting videos to iPhone format).
