Nokia signs on AppForge

Nokia announced a deal Tuesday with AppForge, a mobile software maker. The agreement lets AppForge developers write programs that can run on Nokia's Communicator, a combination cell phone and personal digital assistant. Nokia is expected to begin selling the Communicator in the United States by late May. AppForge has about 50,000 developers writing programs based on a computer language called visual basic, which is a Microsoft product.
