The Nokia E6 is now available to pre-order in the UK. While our European friends have been able to lay down their Euros to reserve a piece of E6 for some time, only today has Nokia revealed details for us Brits, NokNok reports.
Exchange rate madness means that, while you can pre-order for the equivalent of £300 on the continent, the SIM-free Nokia E6 will set you back £349 here. Just not fair.
You can save a tenner though by buying it on a pre-pay tariff from Orange, T-Mobile or Vodafone. Alternatively, you can get it free on £25 per month contracts from Vodafone and T-Mobile. That's based on Nokia's sales page and it's possible other networks will hop on board closer to the launch date. That'll be the end of June.
Is the E6 worth holding out another month for? If you like your BlackBerry-esque design, the 2.5-inch touchscreen and proper Qwerty keyboard should keep you happy. Importantly for business types, there's good Microsoft Office integration and Outlook syncing, and with the lateston board, enhanced security too.
It comes preloaded with a bunch of social-networking and business apps and naturally can be topped up with more from the Ovi Store (or whatever it's smart phones.to). It also packs in a heavy-duty battery, 8GB of memory with support for 32GB microSD cards, an 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, and the usual bevy of sensors found in most
It certainly looks like a huge improvement over theand we're extremely keen to get it in for review. If you already know the Nokia E6 is for you, the wait is nearly over.
