No Man's Sky is finally here, watch the launch trailer

Your journey to find "what lies at the center" begins now.

After years of development, No Man's Sky has finally arrived -- and so has its launch trailer.

The slickly produced video sets up the No Man's Sky universe and teases out what you'll be doing on your journey to find the answer to the question: "What lies at the center." Take a look:

You may notice that you can select 1080p/60fps for video quality, but the actual game runs at 1080p/30fps. The game can dip below 30fps in some sequences, too.

Earlier this week, Hello Games boss Sean Murray said No Man's Sky is a "weird" and "niche" game that "might not be for everyone." He also stressed that No Man's Sky "is not a multiplayer game." The chances of two players meeting in the universe is "pretty much zero," Murray explained.

In other news, developer Hello Games has revealed it's working on an unannounced game as part of its effort to be the "Johnny Depp of studios."
