Nintendo is sending out its president to help sell 3DS and Wii U units across the US.

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime revealed on his company's Twitter account Thursday that he'll be traveling around the US holding "I'm With Reggie" tweetups. Gamers who attend the tweetups will be able to play 3DS and Wii U games with the Nintendo executive.

Neither Fils-Aime nor Nintendo have said where he'll be in the coming weeks or for how long he'll be on the road, but he plans to share his time playing titles with fans on the company's Twitter and Facebook accounts. That will also be where Nintendo announces Fils-Aime's next stops.

Nintendo on Monday ended production of the original Wii to focus energy on sales of the Wii U. Despite the success of the original Wii, its successor's sales have fallen short, forcing price cuts and pushing Nintendo to bet on nostalgia-driven success of legacy titles from its Super Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong franchises.
