Nexus 5 on O2 from £32, not coming to Vodafone or EE
O2 has confirmed it will be offering the new Nexus 5 phone from £32 per month, but both Vodafone and EE have said they won't be stocking it.

O2 has confirmed that it will be offering Google's latest superphone, the Nexus 5, for £32 per month with no upfront charges -- and it'll be available to order tomorrow. Both Vodafone and EE, however, have confirmed they will not be offering the phone.
That monthly cost will snag you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data. That's on O2's 3G network, so you can expect to be paying more if you want the faster 4G data speeds. You'll also probably eat through that data pretty quickly, so consider adding a bigger bundle.
O2 is the only network that'll offer the higher capacity 32GB model, rather than the 16GB model, so if you want all your music and videos stored on your phone, it's a better option to go for. It's also available on O2's Refresh plan, which lets you pay off your phone early if you want to upgrade, without having to pay off the entire cost of the 24-month contract.
Carphone Warehouse is also offering the phone on O2's network from £32 per month, with 1GB of data, but it's the 16GB model only, and it won't let you buy out of your contract easily. Carphone has said it'll offer it on O2's 4G network from £37 per month, with 2GB of data and a free Nexus 7 tablet.
Vodafone and EE have both confirmed they won't be offering the phone on any plan, but neither has given an official reason why.
The big question, of course, is exactly how much Google itself is going to charge for the phone without a contract. The Nexus 4 originally started at only £239 straight from the Google Play store, but network markups made it much pricier to buy on contract. I'd recommend waiting to see what everyone's prices are before making any decisions.
The phone itself seems to be something of a powerhouse, with a 5-inch Full HD screen, a 2.3GHz quad-core processor and the latest Android 4.4 KitKat software. It's got specs to challenge even top-end phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, but with a price that seriously undercuts it. We'll have to wait and see whether Google's own pricing for the Nexus 5 is as competitive as it was for its predecessor.
