New Veoh Web player: Now with actual working parts

New Veoh Web player allows you to watch long-form movies without opening a separate application.

Users of Veoh, the video-streaming service that specializes in TV shows, are in for a treat. Previously, if Veoh users wanted to watch long-form video (anything over 30 minutes) from Veoh on the Web they had to launch a separate application like Veoh TV to view it.

On Friday, however, Veoh announced that this would no longer be an issue as it launched its new Web player.

With the Web player, users will now be able to:

  • Watch all videos on Veoh right in their browser
  • Download videos from Veoh and other video sites for offline viewing
  • Bookmark videos from any site to their "Favorites" on

The Web player seems to only be compatible with Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. I tried running it in Chrome, but it consistently locked up after five seconds of play even after restarting the browser multiple times.
