Luke Skywalker lightsaber shoes flash blue when you take a step
Ladies who love lightsabers, Darth Vader and C-3PO get their own fancy footwear from Irregular Choice, now available on ThinkGeek.
We've seen Star Wars Vans sneakers, Star Wars wedges and even Chewbacca Crocs.
Now women who love Star Wars can show off their love for Darth Vader, Han Solo, C-3PO and other beloved characters from the sci-fi franchise with stylish yet geektastic heels and dressy flats.
The limited-edition Star Wars shoes from Irregular Choice are now available at ThinkGeek. Their styles include Skywalker lightsaber lace-up heels, the Dark Side flats, Darth Vader flats and C-3PO flats.
The Skywalker lightsaber lace-up heels cost $323, which converts to about £210 or AU$450. They're worthy of a night out at the Mos Eisley Cantina or a fancy dinner with Darth Vader. The heels are designed to look like Luke Skywalker's lightsaber and they flash blue when you take a step in them.
The right shoe contains a tiny sound box that plays three different sounds: a lightsaber duel and two TIE fighter dogfights. You can activate it by pressing the inside of the shoe -- or, ThinkGeek says, "with your other shoe if you're coordinated." You can recharge the shoe's batteries using a Micro-USB cable.
The shoe, which even looks like it's made from bronze dewback leather, has the word "Star" embroidered in gold on one heel and "Wars" on the other. It has a chunky white and black platform, and rope laces with tassels.
If you're more of a flats kind of girl, ThinkGeek offers three different Star Wars styles. All the Star Wars flats cost $168 per pair, which converts to about £110 or AU$235.
The Dark Side flats feature a Stormtrooper on one shoe and Darth Vader on the other, along with a colorful nebula background design that extends all over each shoe. Leaves and stars are embroidered in gold and silver on both toes, and the Star Wars logo is embroidered in gold on the outer side of each heel. There are also colorful images of Han Solo, Yoda and Darth Vader printed on each sole.
The Darth Vader flats have embroidered Vader's intimidating helmet in gold on both toes. The Star Wars logo is stitched in gold across the heels, and the silver edge is accented with glitter on the heel. And Vader fans can keep their rebel foes underfoot with full-color pictures of Star Wars heroes on the shoe's soles.
The C-3PO flats are made of black faux suede with Threepio's head as a gold applique on the toe and silver edge details. Again, you'll find retro Star Wars images on the soles of these flats -- these ones feature Han Solo, Princess Leia and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
