"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" director J.J. Abrams has gifted us with three full trailers for the movie. That scant few minutes of footage has given fans endless hours of discussion around topics like "Who is under the hood?" and " Where's Luke?" Prepare for some new dimensions to the fan chatter with a fresh international trailer from Walt Disney Japan.

Most of the additional clips and dialogue center on the character Rey (played by Daisy Ridley), a young woman we've already seen strolling through the sands with droid BB-8. In the new trailer, we get more footage between Rey and her rolling robo-buddy.

There's a quick scene where Rey introduces herself to Finn ( John Boyega). A Stormtrooper strolls along with a back-mounted flamethrower. We get a good view of the business end of Kylo Ren's fancy lightsaber. It's not all about the new characters, though. There's a quick flash of C-3PO with his red left arm.

The video appeared Friday on Walt Disney Japan's YouTube channel. It's in English, but with subtitles for international viewers. Google Translate offers this charming take on the title: "Awakening of Star Wars / Force."

The new trailer is a bonus treat for fans because we thought we had seen all we were going to see until the movie opens in theaters in Europe and Australia on December 17 and in the US on December 18.

The footage doesn't reveal any secrets. Most importantly, Luke Skywalker doesn't appear in any obvious fashion, so speculation as to his role in the new film will continue to run rampant. Hey, maybe that's him hiding behind Chewbacca! Just kidding.
