New Antivirus Driver Protects AOL Users

Software International has unveiled an antivirus driver aimed at protecting AOL subscribers from a Trojan Horse virus that can damage hard-drive files.

BURLINGTON, Massachusetts--S&S Software International has posted a new antivirus driver aimed at protecting America Online subscribers and other Internet users from a Trojan Horse virus that can damage hard-drive files.

The online antivirus resource now includes a cure for AOLGold, a bug that hides in files attached to anonymous email messages. In addition, users can download and employ FindVirus, a DOS-based antivirus scanner.

Both the AOLGold remover and the FindVirus utility are part of Dr. Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit, which can detect and remove more than 7,000 viruses.
