Xserve G5 60% faster than Xserve G4 ComputerWorld reports that the Xserve G5 is up to 60 percent faster than its predecessor, and adds "each of the three drive modules contains dedicated 150MB/sec. controllers, and the Xserve supports 100- and 133-MHz PCI-X cards. Rounding out its impressive technology pedigree are two onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports, each with its own dedicated controller." More.

Apple offers developers special price on Xserve G4 The Apple Developer Connection offering all Select and Premier members in the United States special pricing on single or dual 1.33GHz G4 processor Xserves (while supplies last). A news notice states 'This ADC Member promotion is offered only through the US Hardware Purchase Program Store in the 'Special Products' or 'New lower price' sections.
