Network Associates reintegrates myCIO.com
Security conglomerate Network Associates will re-absorb its myCIO.com subsidiary just a year after it launched the managed information-services firm, the company stated in a SEC filing on Thursday. MyCIO.com offers a variety of managed services, including antivirus filtering, virtual-private networks and vulnerability assessments. While Network Associates will continue to provide its customers with the services, it believes that it could save upward of $10 million in 2001 by eliminating redundancies. Network Associates CEO George Samenuk made the announcement at a Robertson Stephens analyst conference on Thursday, the filing stated.
