Netscape Navigator Gold 2.0 available

Netscape Communications today announced that the public version of its Navigator Gold 2.0 software is available for download.

    INDIAN WELLS, California--Netscape Communications today announced that the public beta version of its Navigator Gold 2.0 software is available for download from Netscape's site.

    Netscape Navigator Gold 2.0 was designed to allow people of all levels to create online documents and home pages, according to officials. The new version includes a Netscape Gold Rush Tool Chest, a collection of editable home page templates, background color schemes and graphical images, and Java applets and JavaScript scripts. The Netscape Page Wizard follows users through the process of creating a home page by using HTML forms.

    The final release of Netscape Navigator Gold for Macintosh and Windows is scheduled for the first half of 1996, according to officials. Pricing will start at $79.
