Netgear announced on Monday that its president, Ray Robidoux, has stepped down to seek other opportunities. The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company said it is not seeking a replacement.

Netgear, which makes home networking gear, also said it will expand its marketing efforts and will introduce the position of chief marketing officer. The Netgear marketing tsar will be responsible for strategy and product planning, brand marketing and alliances, the company said. Netgear expects strong third-quarter sales from back-to-school demand and product introductions, it said during a conference call with analysts last week.
