For budding home networking enthusiasts, NETGEAR has announced the availability of its latest external drive, the Storage Central Turbo (SC101T).
It's essentially a case with an Ethernet connection and allows you to fill it with your own drives -- potentially beating the price of a larger, off-the-shelf storage device.
The SC101T's Gigabit rating should allow it to achieve greater speeds when married to one of NETGEAR's own Gigabit routers.
The NETGEAR is DHCP certified which means that devices like theand the will be able to stream files directly from it -- without needing to leave your PC on.
The housing is available now for an RRP of AU$349 -- though look around as the street price is up to AU$100 less.
