Comedian Dave Chappelle made a comeback on "Saturday Night Live" earlier this month and now the stand-up favorite has announced three new specials set to air simultaneously on Netflix next year.

The projects help mark Chappelle's return to comedy. He walked out on the Comedy Central hit "Chappelle's Show" about a decade ago.

"Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy -- searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential," said Lisa Nishimura, Netflix's VP of original documentary and comedy. "Dave's three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy."

Stan Lathan is slated to direct the first stand-up show, along with two additional never-before-seen specials said to come from Chapelle's own personal comedy vault.

A premiere date has not yet been announced.
