Motorola Xoom to make February appearance?
Motorola's highly anticipated entry into the tablet market will make an appearance at Best Buy on February 17, according to a report.
The Xoom, Motorola's first foray into tablet market, will make an appearance at Best Buy on February 17, according to a report.
The 10.1-inch tablet is expected to be one of the first tablets from a top-tier supplier to give Apple's iPad a run for its money. The Xoom will come with Google's Android Honeycomb operating system for tablets, a dual-core processor, a high-resolution (1,280x800) display, dual cameras, and the Verizon 3G (and soon-to-come 4G) network.
Apple is expected to respond in kind with a second-gen iPad, reportedly packing features like a dual-core processor, improved graphics silicon, dual cameras, and a higher-resolution display (note that the last two rumored features have been called into question).
On the Xoom, pricing is reported to be $800, though $699 has also been cited as a price. The device is also said to have 32GB of onboard flash storage. The current iPad varies in price, based on configuration--the 32GB model with 3G goes for $729 in Apple's online store.
