G whizz, it's the Motorola Moto G! Motorola's forthcoming wallet-friendly Android smart phone has made an appearance in this first press shot ahead of its UK launch next week.

Revealed by trusty tipster evleaks with the caption "Almost here", the apparently official shots show the Moto G in white, hot pink, luminous turquoise and regal blue.

The phone is branded for US network Verizon, but the Moto G is coming to the UK -- your humble correspondent has been invited to a launch event here in good ol'd Blighty next Wednesday, 13 November.

And UK retailer Phones4U is apparently planning to sell the G, according to a leaked promotion that reveals a price of £135.

For that you get a 4.5-inch 720p screen, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 5-megapixel and 1.3-megapixel cameras, the leak promises. It's running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean rather than the latest Android 4.4 KitKat, but for this price who's counting?

Could the Moto G re-establish Motorola as a serious player here in Britain? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page.
