Owners of the Motorola Droid Turbo , be on the lookout for a software update rolling out today that's intended to make voice and video calls a whole lot clearer.

Commonly referred to as Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Verizon's version is known here as Advanced Calling 1.0.

Once installed, the Droid Turbo will be capable of HD Voice and Video Calling. Additionally, the update allows for simultaneous voice and data connections.

It's worth noting that the HD Voice and Video Calling only works if both parties on the call have Advanced Calling. As of today, the list of compatible devices is only nine deep.

It's expected to to deploy in phases, but you can also manually trigger the software update. Navigate to Settings > System Updates > Check for System Updates to push things through quicker.

If you need more information, Verizon has dedicated pages for both the Droid Turbo update and Advanced Calling 1.0. Otherwise, let us know how you like it!
