If you have an idea for a Moto Mod, now's your chance.

Motorola is partnering with crowd-funding platform Indiegogo for a Moto Mods Developer contest, Motorola said in a blog post Thursday.

For the unfamiliar, Moto Mods are accessories that attach to Moto Z phones. So far, Moto Mods let users turn their phones into movie projectors, speakers, cameras or extra battery packs.

But now, Motorola is giving developers a shot at making their own. Between now and January 31, developers can submit ideas for Moto Mods, build a prototype during a hackathon and fund the prototype on Indiegogo. Ten finalists will go to Chicago to meet with the Moto Mods executive development team to pitch their Mods. From there, Lenovo Capital will consider sinking up to $1 million in the Mod to bring it to market. For more information, click here.

"We decided to turn to developers for Mod ideas because we know we don't have all the ideas," a Motorola spokesperson told CNET.
