PeoplePC has upgraded its basic product to an IBM PC with a 667MHz Intel Celeron processor, 64MB of RAM, 10GB hard drive, 48X CD-ROM, 56kbps modem and 15-inch monitor for $24.95 a month for three years. Internet access is included. The company also is offering beefed up IBM PCs, with 700MHz and 733MHz Celerons and Internet access for $29.95 and $39.95 per month, respectively. In addition, the company now has a faster portable, the IBM ThinkPad i Series with a 550MHz Celeron, 64MB of memory, 5GB hard drive, 24X CD-ROM drive and 12.1-inch display for $49.95 per month, including Internet access.
