Monicagate is back online

Deposition transcripts of Monica Lewinsky's testimony are released on the Internet, the latest sign of the Net's growing clout in disseminating information.

Monicagate is back online.

Deposition transcripts of Monica Lewinsky's testimony were released this morning on the Internet, the latest sign of the Net's growing clout in disseminating information.

CNN posted a link to the transcripts on its Web sites. "Lewinsky deposition helps, hurts Clinton," CNN concluded from the testimony, videotaped earlier this week.

The most widely reported detail: Lewinsky still has "mixed feelings" for President Clinton.

The depositions of presidential friend Vernon Jordan and White House aide Sidney Blumenthal also were released online.

Previous testimony from the case also has been released on the Net.

While popular, Clinton's video testimony still drew fewer viewers than an online fashion show produced this week by Victoria's Secret, the intimate apparel maker.
