MobShop gets patent OK

MobShop is expected to announce Wednesday that the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office has issued the company a patent that covers online group purchasing methods. MobShop's software enables organizations to combine multiple purchase orders to increase their purchasing power and receive lower costs. The patent, filed in 1998, allows suppliers to offer products with prices that constantly change in pre-set increments as new group orders are placed.
