MobileAria, which is developing in-car Internet service, has inked a deal with Go2 Systems to offer drivers mobile access to information such as the location of the nearest gas station, hotel or restaurant. MobileAria subscribers will be able to say a keyword, category or brand name to access information from Go2's location-based database.
MobileAria, which is backed by handheld maker Palm and auto parts giant Delphi, plans to begin testing its in-car service around mid-year, with a formal launch slated by year's end.
