The MM 458 Speciale is proof that Ferrari will build you whatever, so long as you're loaded
Borrowing elements from both the 458 Speciale and the 488 GTB, the MM 458 Speciale is a one-off creation for a single customer.
The Ferrari 458 Italia is long gone, and its departure was marked by the ultra-sporty 458 Speciale. Its replacement, the 488 GTB, is quite a lovely car. But what if you want a 458 Speciale that isn't totally reflective of an "old" Ferrari model? Well, you call up the factory, throw down an obscene amount of money and you end up with the MM 458 Speciale.
The owner, who is only described as "enthusiastic" and "British," is one very lucky person. The car uses the same chassis and powertrain as the 458 Speciale, and from there, extensive modifications have been made. The front and rear fasciae are radically different from the Speciale, and the taillights look like they're straight off the 488 GTB.
Other modifications include a blacked-out A-pillar, a new side air scoop, unique wheels, more steeply inclined radiators and a cute little rear spoiler. The interior is probably the part of the car that received the least massaging, with a new audio system and instrument trim pieces. The seats and panels sport a brown-leather-and-white-accents motif.
With handcrafted bodywork, carbon fiber composite bumpers and styling that rests on the middle ground between the 458 Speciale and the 488 GTB, the MM 458 Speciale is one, um, speciale ride for a buyer that's clearly willing to spend what it takes to make a car that's truly reflective of the buyer's tastes.
