Microsoft is holding a big hardware showcase Wednesday, and there are rumors a new all-in-one Surface desktop is coming. Still, the company isn't expected to come out with new versions of several well-known items, including the Surface Pro tablet and Microsoft Band.
The event starts at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET and a live stream is available.

The 3:59 gives you bite-size news and analysis about the top stories of the day, brought to you by the CNET News team in New York and producer Bryan VanGelder.
