Microsoft has appointed a new head of its U.K. subsidiary. Alistair Baker has taken over the job of managing director, the company said Tuesday. For the last eight years, ZDNet UK reported, Baker has worked as Microsoft U.K.'s general manager for small and midmarket solutions and partners.

Neil Holloway, the previous Microsoft U.K. managing director, has become corporate vice president and vice president of sales, marketing and services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
