Microsoft, Intervoice team on software

Microsoft and Intervoice on Monday announced a partnership for creating Web-based speech software for interactive voice response (IVR), customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) needs, among others. The partnership will support Microsoft?s .Net Speech technology, which is part of its .Net Web services initiative.

In other voice technology news on Monday, SpeechWorks introduced Speechify Tom, a synthesized American male voice for Speechify 2.1. The software converts text to speech for use over communications devices such as telephones.
