Watch this: Microsoft fixes big bad Internet Explorer bug
In this episode of CNET Update:
- You may return to using Internet Explorer. Microsoft has fixed the serious security flaw that made it possible for a hacker to take over your computer (if you clicked on a bad link, which these days is easy to do). The flaw is even fixed for Windows XP. But make sure you have automatic updates enabled on Windows to get the patch.
- Have a chat with someone using the Snapchat app. Instead of just sending photos that disappear in a few seconds, now you can also text and video chat with friends.
- Learn about the new features in the PlayStation 4 update, including editing the video of your gameplay clips.
- Buy tissues in bulk on Groupon. The daily-deal website has expanded by selling basic household items in bulk. Amazon also recently got into the grocery game with Amazon Prime Pantry.
