Microsoft and Novell's bridge to Linux
The longtime rivals make nice with a plan to help companies use the open-source OS along with Windows.
Not all that long ago, it was unimaginable that Microsoft and Novell would exchange kind words, much less collaborate on making the Windows and Linux operating systems interoperable. But Thursday's announcement by the two companies formalized a plan to do just that.
