If Spotify managed one surprise at its press conference in New York today, it was getting Napster founder Sean Parker and Metallica front-man Lars Ulrich on stage together.

The famous spat between the two was joshed about, and the two even shared a hug to prove that the hatchet was well and truly buried — and not in anyone's skull.

According to the two, the whole thing was just a misunderstanding, with Ulrich blaming the band's attitude at the time, and Parker dismissing the whole thing as part of Napster's youth and "naiveté" as a company.

You can view the whole hour long conference below, but if you just want the money shot (so to speak), click here to jump straight to the hug that was 12 years in the making.
