It appears that a problem where Apple credit (financed by MBNA customers) were unable to pay their bill in Safari has been resolved.
Tim Flight writes "Just an update to a story you ran a week or so ago regarding MBNA's Bill Pay service (what Apple's credit card uses) not working with Safari. Today I was able to get in fine without needing to switch my user agent.
"I would always try to get in first without switching my user agent to (a) see if they had fixed it yet and (b) hope that they were counting the number of browsers they rejected and thus encourage them to fix it.
"Today I didn't need to switch the user agent and no longer got the message that my version of Netscape was too old."
