With MathSoft's upcoming StudyWorks software, students will have a graphical- calculation and document-preparation program that also comes with one-button access to Collaboratory, MathSoft's Web-based forum for students and teachers.
Using the Collaboratory's continuously updated reference material, StudyWorks users can study math and science disciplines, including algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics, earth sciences, chemistry, and physics. Students can post questions on the Web site and access homework assignments and tips.
StudyWorks also comes with strategies for conquering the bane of every high-school student's life, the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
StudyWorks will ship in late spring for Windows 3.1, Windows 95, and Windows NT and cost less than $50. A Macintosh version will be available in early summer.
