MARKET CLOSE: Stocks make slight gains in light trading

Technology stocks made decent gains in late trading Monday as the Nasdaq composite moved up 7 points to 2,645.27 and the Dow Jones industrial average rose 73 points to 11,046.79 in very light trading.
