Like The New Yorker's, Playboy's catalog DVDs will provide a searchable digital archive that includes articles, cartoons, photographs and covers. The Playboy DVDs will be released by decade with the first two sets, the 1950s and 1960s, available in October. Each $100 box set will include one DVD and a 200-page companion book with photos. The announcement coincidentally follows news of the death of Anna Nicole Smith, the former 1993 Playboy Playmate of the Year turned entertainer.
