Manufacturing tool has Net links

Made2Manage readies an Internet link for its namesake manufacturing software package that provides self-service information to customers and material suppliers via the Net.

Indianapolis-based software developer Made2Manage Systems is readying an Internet link for its namesake manufacturing software package that provides self-service information to customers and material suppliers via the Net.

The Internet Made2Manage application uses Sun Microsystems' Java programming language, HTML, and other Internet protocols to provide supply-chain information and allow manufacturers to coordinate with vendors.

The software also allows customers to submit questions and problems, tracks the progress of orders, and provide an online transaction history day or night. It also generates and distributes reports, the company said.

Made2Manage runs on Windows 95 and NT. The software is scheduled to ship in the first quarter of next year. No pricing was announced.
