That you can easily concoct your own sweet Lego treats is a sure sign of how Lego continues to drive ever more deeply into pop culture. You may not be able to build with these gummy Legos, but you can fortify yourself as you assemble a giantor imagine how much fun you'll have playing with a .
You can make the basis of the gummy candy using flavored Jell-O, unflavored gelatin, corn syrup and cold water. Heat things up on the stove as you mix the ingredients together.
To form the shapes, use Lego ice cube trays of both bricks and minifigures. After the gelatin has completely liquified, just pour it directly into the trays.
If you see clumps and lumps forming in your syrup mixture as you pour it into the trays, the video suggests pouring the entire mixture into a large drinking glass. The bubbles and clumps will immediately rise to the top of the glass.
Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes, which will allow all the clumps to form a gooey foam that you can take off the top with a spatula. Now pour the perfected syrup into a squeezable condiment container so you have better control when filling up your molds.
Because the syrup will shrink a bit after the molds cool, fill your trays a little bit over the top. Then give the syrup five hours to cool and soon you'll have candy bricks to stack and gummy Lego characters to stand next to them.
Be sure to experiment with different Jell-O colors and flavors to get a good mix of Lego candy to play with and eat. Everything really is awesome.
